At Kids of Kanawha, our mission is made possible by the continued support of our community. Thanks to your involvement, we've successfully hosted several fundraisers that have directly benefited the children and families of the Kanawha Valley. Here are a few of our recent successes:

2024 Christmas Gift Drive
Goal: 50 Children | Reached: 70 Children 🎉

Our 2024 Christmas Gift Drive was a heartwarming success! Originally aimed at providing holiday gifts for 50 children in need across the Kanawha Valley, the incredible outpouring of support from our community allowed us to exceed expectations and bring Christmas cheer to 70 children.

Each child received personalized gifts—ranging from toys and books to warm clothing and winter essentials—thanks to our generous donors and sponsors. Volunteers helped wrap and distribute the presents in time for Christmas, ensuring every child felt seen, valued, and celebrated during the holiday season.

This effort not only brightened homes, but also reminded families that they are surrounded by a community that cares. We’re deeply grateful for everyone who made this holiday miracle possible and look forward to exceeding this goal in 2025.

Kanawha City Community Association Kids Supper Club Sponsor
In Spring 2025, Kids of Kanawha proudly sponsored a meal for the Kanawha City Community Association Supper Club—a monthly event designed to bring local children together around the table for an interactive meal and a sense of belonging.

Each supper features kid-friendly meals in an exciting cuisine that may allow children to try something new. The goal? To nourish not just bodies, but relationships—offering consistency, community, and care to youth who need it most.

School Closet Tote Organization Project
This project began with a simple but powerful request: a local school counselor reached out to Kids of Kanawha, asking for help organizing a school closet that served as a vital resource for students in need. Clothing, hygiene products, school supplies, and food were available—but hard to find.

In response, we launched an initiative to provide durable, clearly labeled storage totes and bins to help better organize and access critical supplies.

Now, what was once a chaotic supply room is a functional, easy-to-navigate support hub for students. This project turned a simple request into a widespread effort—and reminded us how small acts of organization can lead to big acts of care.
