In summer of 2025, Kids of Kanawha launched its first-ever Back-to-School Shoe Drive to support children and adolescents in the Kanawha Valley.

Wow, what an incredible year! Thanks to our amazing community, the inaugural Kids of Kanawha Shoe Drive collected and purchased over 2,000 pairs of shoes for students across 13 local schools!
Because of our incredible community, more than two thousand children were able to step into the school year with comfort, confidence, and smiles. Thank you to every donor, volunteer, and partner who helped make this drive a smashing success — we couldn’t have done it without you! 💛👟

This year’s shoe drive supported THIRTEEN local schools in creating School Shoe Closets—a year-round resource stocked with new shoes for students in need. These closets ensure that every child has access to properly fitting footwear, whether they’re starting a new school year, growing out of old shoes, or facing unexpected challenges. Your donation helps provide comfort, confidence, and dignity—all year long.
